Have Endou and Saginuma switch for every match, but when Endou gets arrested, he takes on most of the conflict itself, gets more hissatsu, but when they move onto the finals, he starts to play defense, but they actually do something with the rough plays.
So opinions on Ares/Orion aside (keep it civil), I will say that thanks to Orion, we got to see Saginuma as a player for all four positions, but I was thinking of another soccer story when I was making this list: Whistle! See, Whistle's final arc had 3 GK, two at the start, but one of them got injured on the last match before the final tournament, and I think that would be the final role for Saginuma. She's arguably the strongest girl in the original 3/6 seasons before Go came out, only Kinako herself could rival her, and if there's one person I think would try and put Kira in his place when his god complex gets on everyone's nerves, its Reina.Ħ: Saginuma. I almost put Midorikawa, but then I remembered while I want to fix some things, I don't want to just repeat things entirely, but then I realized I took Kira Tatsuya (OG alive Kira off) despite him being one of my favorite characters, and I figured I wanted someone else from Eisei Gakuen who was just as cool but also deserved a chance. Endou for Norika (I'll get to that later), Kozoumaru and Goeunji, and while I'm not sure who would fit for Kidou, I could see him working with Nosaka and Mizukamiya since they're both green regarding being the whole commander/advisor/library.Ĥ: I'm cheating with this but I really enjoyed alive Kira's interactions and kinda/development with the rest of the team, especially with his rivalry with Haizaki.ĥ: Reina. So I want this team to have the best chance of development but making sure a single character gets wasted.ġ-3: Keeping the OG trio makes sense, and I think them being booted off the team temporarily is a good start, but I want them to expand upon them being a mentor/guide for the next person. Half the OG team didn't get as much focus as they could, 2 actually handled this as a good point plot, 3 was better than 1 at this regard but had an issue where some people were there just for the sake of new hissatsu and little development, Go actually handled this well to the point only Hayami was a bit neglected but even he got focus, Chrono Stone's a weird case where the core 11 they built up to was handled well and the extra Raimon members sorta helped with the whole "we need 3 teams to battle Saryuu" though there were some missteps, and Galaxy has handled this well from the 1/3 of it I got through. I've always had an issue with Inazuma Eleven's balancing of their teams. Now for the explanations that will try to make this less controversial Here's the team I think I wanted for Orion. So after much deliberation, I ultimately decided on three things: the 16 (now later 17) cast, how many people I would divide between the new Ares/Orion cast and the original cast, which I ultimately decided on a 9:7. As one of the few people who enjoyed Orion, I do remember back in the day when Orion was first announced and the choices were announced.people were split on who was and wasn't chosen.
